Day 6 - Saturday

Today´s programme started with discussion workshops, this time the mixed international groups discussed the future of Europe. There were lots of interesting ideas about how we all can see the European future. In the afternoon the national teams started one of the most interesting parts of the project meeting - The day of National Quisine! All preparations took over three hours but after half past four everything was done! The teams presented their national meals and then we all tasted the delicious food! In such an activity there are no winners or losers, I am pretty sure that all teams made soooooo tasty meals that the only person who could be a bit sad was the cook who was preparing the dinner. We all were absolutely full :-) In the evening we had some music, first live music and then a disco. Saturday´s night was quite short!

DAY 3 - WEDNESDAY

Today we started our discussion part of the project. First the paricipants worked in mixed international groups and discussed the questions of migration and the future of Europe. We could find lots of interesting ideas. In the afternoon sport activities followed - the tournaments in ringo and petanque have their winners now! The last point of today´s schedule is about to start - the Turkish evening! We are looking forward to the Turkish presentation....!
DAY 2 - TUESDAY

The morning programme started with ice-breaking games. First task was to remember all the names of young participants from Czech Republic, Turkey, Portugal, Latvia, Romania and Denmark. To make it even harder, each of the participants added his or her favourite fruit. Could you remember so many names and so many fruits? Later on we continued with some more games so that everybody could feel relaxed at the project and not shy or scared of anything. After lunch we set out for a walk to the village to learn about the neighbouring area - we went to the Cherry hotel near the dam where we all had an hour break. In the evening the programme got to the top. National evenings are a traditional part of our projects and the first team to present its country was the Czech team. The evening was full of games, presentations and music and everybody enjoyed it. As usual in such projects the word "bedtime" is an unknown expression to lots of participants so we could hear the sound of guitar until late night.
DAY 1 - MONDAY

The beginning of the project is here! The Latvian team arrived in Karvina even on Sunday. Then the Portuguese group was the second one to come for the project and the others were arriving one by one to Rožnov and taken to Horní Bečva. Sachova studánka, the place of our project, could welcome all the participants. On the first day all the team put their posters on the wall inside the cottage and young participants started to introduce each other. The weather was nice and we hope this will last for whole the run of the project.

ADVANCED PREPARATORY VISIT

Ladies and gentlemen - the project Tutti Frutti 2010 is ready! APV for the Tutti Frutti project took part in Karviná from May 20 to May 23. Team leaders from Turkey, Denmark, Portugal, Romania and Latvia - Tuncay, Karin, Manuel, Natalia and Dace - arrived in Karviná to work on all details of the future Tutti Frutti project meeting.

When we were planning the APV, we were sure that the weather in May will be warm and sunny, unfortunately nature played a game with us and flooded Karvina and a big part of our region, so instead of enjoying sunny days in the Czech Republic, our guests had to experience rainy weather. And what was the programme of APV like?

On the first day the team leaders visited Obchodní akademie Karviná and talked to the coordinators of the project, headmaster, teachers and young participants. In the afternoon Martin, the main coordinator, presented the programme of the project, activities to be done, rules, organisational matters, planned outputs etc. All necessary project details were discussed, agreed and approved by all team leaders. Great! We are on the same wave! To know each other better, we all spent our evening time playing bowling and having a really good game! Well, I can´t remember who the winner was....but this is not important ;-) And as some of the team leaders played bowling for the first time, the photos will remain hidden to the others!

On Saturday, the second day of APV, we all visited the Karvina Chateau (I can´t even count how many times I did the translation into English, I think I almost know the family tree of the Larisch family who owned the chateau) After lunch we did some sightseeing in the city centre and talked over a cup of coffee. We finished our preparatory work discussing Youth in Action programme in general and exchanging our experience, funny stories from various projects and ideas for a future common work. And Saturday´s game? Well, walking in the rain, playing "Armando game" must have been really funny.... Am I right?

So, the APV was quite successful and we ensured that we will work as a team in June and July. By Sunday evening all team leaders left Karvina. Let´ do the final countdown - Tutti Frutti starts in 37 days!
